Pinned and Promoted Products

Purpose: 
To prioritize key products in search results and ensure high-value or featured items always appear at the top. 

How it Works: 

  • Pinned Products: 
    These remain fixed at the very top of search results whenever the rule applies. 
    Ideal for spotlighting bestsellers, new arrivals, or high-margin products. 

  • Promoted Products: 
    These are boosted in visibility within the search results but are not fixed to the top. 
    Their position may shift dynamically depending on relevance and user behavior. 

Usage Guidelines: 

  • Pin only a limited number of products per keyword to maintain search balance. 

  • Promote complementary or related items to increase exposure without overwhelming users. 

  • Regularly review pinned products to ensure they align with current campaigns or inventory status. 

Example: 
For the search term “headphones,” you might pin your latest model at the top while promoting accessories like cases or cables below it. 

Significance: 

  • Keeps strategic products consistently visible. 

  • Reduces dependency on algorithmic ranking for key promotions. 

  • Enhances merchandising control while maintaining natural search flow.
